Ethylene oxide can only be used post harvest, as fumigation agent against insects for sterilization against molds and bacteria.
We confirm that Santa Barbara Chocolate does not use any ethylene oxide during the storage or transport of our cocoa beans. We neither allow use of ethylene oxide by subcontractors involved in storage and transport.
