A little bit about this amazing Dark Chocolate:
This is a chocolate making first by using the cacao fruit as the only ingredient to craft chocolate. This new type of chocolate captures the chocolatey and tangy taste of fresh cacao fruit right from the tree.
Ingredients: Unsweetened chocolate and dry cacao fruit juice concentrate.
Simple recipes are best for the little helpers in the kitchen, and this one checks all your boxes ! Prepare to make a little mess.
Recipe:
Edible Gold Dust
Utensils:
1 medium size bowl ( ice cream bowl size)
1 sheet of aluminum foil
1 bowl filled with ice cubes and water
1 Easter egg and Bunnies silicone mold
1 piping bag
1 small brush
Simple instructions:
First step, you need to melt the Cacao Fruit Chocolate Bar using a double boiler method.
Second step, take your small bowl and cover it with a sheet of aluminum foil.
Third step: take a bigger glass bowl and fill it with lots of ice and water. Just enough to be able to dunk a quarter of the small bowl into it and have it stay at the top. Under the bowl that’s covered with aluminum foil, you should have ice. This way the chocolate hardens instantly when it’s applied on top of the foil, creating a crisp finish that’s ideal for Easter dessert recipes like this one.
When the melted chocolate cooled down a bit, add it to a piping bag and start drizzling on top of the aluminum bowl to form a nest. Make sure to drizzle lots of layers so your chocolate bowl will not break apart.
When you are done drizzling let it sit in the ice water for about 5 minutes.
Take out and remove the aluminum foil very slowly.
Place on a beautiful plate while working on the Golden Eggs and Bunnies.
Melt one more bar of Cacao Fruit Chocolate if nothing was left from the nest.
Pour into the egg shaped silicone mold.
Let the chocolate set and when it’s all hard start painting the eggs and bunnies with beautiful edible gold dust using a small brush.
Place all the Golden Eggs and Bunnies into the Dark Chocolate Nest and enjoy them with your little ones on Easter Day.
Happy Easter from Santa Barbara Chocolate!
