Santa Barbara Chocolate confirms that chocolate couverture and cocoa powder products manufactured in the United States meet the requirements for "Gluten-Free" as set forth by the USA government.

What is Gluten Sensitivity?

 

Gluten sensitivity or celiac disease is an intolerance to certain proteins found in grains such as barley, wheat and rye. If someone is gluten intolerant, these foods will cause inflammation and as a result discomfort or health problems.

 

The Truth About Gluten Free Chocolate

 

We understand that when it comes to chocolate it should be enjoyed by everybody, which is why our traditional recipe chocolate made from roasted cacao beans has no added gluten ingredients and can be called gluten free. Because we use pure cacao ingredients without additional processing you won't find gluten as an ingredient in our pure chocolates.
